There are some very nice tartare sauces in a jar out there but homemade is so much better! All you need is:
- A handful of capers
- About the same quantity of pickles
- Lemon juice
- Salt & pepper
Chop the capers and pickles as coarsely or finely as you like them, I’m quite picky so we went for medium chop here.
Add 5 tablespoons of mayonnaise to a bowl, a squeeze of lemon, a pinch of salt and fresh pepper and the chopped capers and pickles. Mix well and don’t be afraid to add more mayo if you like. Definitely try and adjust the lemon, salt & pepper to taste.
